Jewel of Kabibi

Salma, the village belle, escapes from oppressive cultural practices for a taste of freedom and the good life in Accra but soon discovers that behind the glitter of the national capital, life is balanced on razor-edge. Involuntarily inducted into child prostitution, she becomes entangled in a web of sex, crime, corruption and romance, caught between the hypnotic attractions of the murky underworld ruled by the ruthless and predatory overlords like Risky, Indigo and Hammer, and the influence of journalist James Morgan, who tries to wean her off commercial sex and usher her into the world of her cherished dreams.
